FAQs

How does Crime Stoppers work?

We provide an anonymous way for citizens to get involved in stopping crime. Being able to report anonymously allows people to safely report crime without any risk to themselves.

How do I anonymously report crime?

Call (970) 249-8500, use P3tips.com, or download our free P3tips mobile app. Using the mobile app allows you to send pictures or video when reporting crime.

Will my personal information be used?

No. All you need to do is provide the information you have about the crime via our hotline or the P3tips system. Colorado law protects your identity.

Will I receive a reward?

If your tip results in an arrest then you will be eligible to receive a cash reward. This is all done anonymously to protect your identity.

How do I receive my reward?

When you give information that results in an arrest, our system will generate a code for you to take to a local bank in the area. Your name, or any other personal information, will never be required.

How long does it take to receive my reward?

The Crime Stoppers board meets once a month to review tips received. Once the cash amount is determined via the Crime Stoppers point system you will be notified.
